Think it has been posted that CEP will go intermittent but can't find the confirmation this moment. For sure FLU1 will. And no, the state will not change to either completed or intermittent until the admin or scientists confirm receipt of last result. We have had days before nothing coming in and a few still trickling in. Long weekend in the US so probably we don't learn until Tuesday, earliest.
----------------------------------------edit: Yes, there was an internal note not to shut down CEP1 i.e. it's moving to the intermittent state.

CEP will go intermittent. There is also 1 last work unit out in the wild...So not finished yet :)

What does this mean? CEP1 is still intermittent? Why is it not completed? Is there anything one can do to get it closer to completion. Is CEP1 status related to CEP2?

asedt, whilst CEP2 is still being processed, there is a small chance that the scientists may find/want some work (re)processed via the first stage (CEP1). Thus, that's the reason why it's been set as an Intermediate project and not totally completed off.
----------------------------------------FYI, CEP1 & CEP2 use two totally different computational methods. |

Hello asedt,
CEP1 ran a large assortment of molecules through a program relatively quickly. Now we are running the same list of molecules through CEP2, which uses a much slower program. Until we close down CEP2, there is always the chance that a new batch of molecules will suddenly seem interesting. If so, we still have CEP1 ready to jump on them and then send them to CEP2. As far as I know, this has never happened. But if it does, we are still ready to run CEP1. Lawrence |

CEP2 is running what CEP1 flushed out, the *candidates* is my understanding, a brief differentiation found here: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/cep2/overview.do and yes, the scientists wanted and want to keep the option open. Who will be able to coax cleanenery to comment ... calling cleanenergy ;?

I had 4 CEP2's validate yesterday, and have 11 currently "in Progress" and running which should complete in the next 6 hours
