Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

http://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/04/science/hur...ce&smtyp=cur&_r=0

This is obviously getting the scientific ridicule it deserves

The reason for the lack of USA land falling major hurricanes in recent years is due to the lack of Atlantic Major Hurricanes .....

This fact means that no magic force field barriers protecting the USA have to be invoked... unless you are under the delusion that the alleged global warming is creating more and more mythical force 6 hurricanes than ever before as predicted by the Great Al "mighty" Gore.

Facts....

Nothing unusual going on here. No force fields required. wink

Some impressive winter events have been taking place all across the northern hemisphere lately. Especially eastern and southeastern Europe have been pounded by massive snowfalls and tremendously cold temperatures. Turkey has been buried by heavy snows and extreme temperatures have gripped the entire USA and vast areas of Russia. - See more at: http://notrickszone.com/2017/01/10/pravda-sci...sh.K1JUryKZ.jyC4Mh7N.dpuf

"The botched renewable energy scheme is being blamed for the collapse of the devolved government but it was just the tip of the iceberg."

Russian Icebreakers Stuck in the Arctic Global Warming
Vessels could be marooned ‘for a week’ in East Siberian Sea after getting caught in thick ice.

Bulk carriers Sinegorsk and Johann Mahmastal made a successful midwinter cargo crossing from Arkhangelsk to Russia’s northernmost port of Pevek, Chukotka, escorted by icebreakers Kapitan Dranitsyn and Admiral Makarov.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Well despite the lowest recorded global average temperature in the last 7 years January 2017 has been a mild one at 3.232C only beaten by 2012

As a result the 12 monthly average temperature has bounced back up 0.08C to 13.197C

I wouldn't imagine 2017's Feb will be able to match the toasty Feb of 2016 which was over 2.5C above the average of the previous years.

Expect the annual average to begin to drop again rapidly. Winter isn't over but I did manage to drive home tonight with some residual light in the sky :-)

Here's another forum friendly sized graph that updates now every 4 hours due to the sheer number of points it needs to plot

The graphs above are (at this moment in time) the result of 129,130,061 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from (the same set of) NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool

On average every 1.5 seconds another temperature reading is added to the database .... wink

I won't lose them

Dave
