The Global Warming Scare
----------------------------------------by Peter Meyer----------- On December 15, 2009, Richard K. Moore sent a message to subscribers to his mailing list entitled global warming — The official NOAA ice core data. He included several graphs, derived from NOAA data from ice cores in central Greenland, showing ice temperature in degrees Centigrade plotted against historical time over the last 50,000 years. Since these graphs (on the riseup.net page) don't appear in all web browsers I reproduce them here: http://www.serendipity.li/capitalism/global_warming_scare.htm |

Hi Gerald
----------------------------------------That's it in a nutshell Is it quantifiable the amount of Human Induced Climate Change when played out against the natural background variation? Would Sek, for instance, like to put a verifiable figure on the global temperature delta caused by Mankind? Or is it like CCS .... something plucked from thin air? ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Dec 18, 2011 4:45:48 PM] |

I'm going to collect the box that was formerly known as "The Global Thermometer" on the way home on Friday
----------------------------------------I'll stir around the internals and have it back in business before the new year starts I missed 1 hours worth of weather data and barring a local power cut again my home PC has captured another 72408 temperature measurements already to add to the series By the end of February it will be N+1 in 2 datacentres for such a time as this. The disappointment of nothing being there at the end of your remote desktop session is horrendous. Not convinced now that SSD's are ready just yet for servers. Netbooks maybe. But heavy database work maybe not so much Oh Hum Not long now until the NH Winter Solstice and it starts brightening back up again Sun Rise here 08:19 Sunset 15:52 (Dark for 16 hours 27 Mins ! and I live in the South of the Country ) We lose another minute out of the daylight tomorrow and Wednesday and then the days start getting longer again. I don't know why we don't migrate like the birds Yours under a gloomy CFL Dave ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Dec 19, 2011 7:21:46 PM] |

Just in case we never see it again and our Children won't know what it is
----------------------------------------Try typing "Let it snow" into Googles search box Enjoy The effective slow drift downwards of the white fluffy flakes are a close facsimile to what we used to call snow before the atmosphere became fully saturated with 0.03902% of CO2 That slow opaquing of your screen is what we used to see on our windows, a build up of frozen condensation in a delightful crystalline fashion. We used to call it frost before it was all but eliminated around the turn of the Century due to us popping to the shops for a bite to eat in the nasty fossil fuelled automobile ![]() |

I have started a dialogue with my Local MP
----------------------------------------He sent me this ![]() I explained how it was a no on all fronts and that I had the best energy deal on U-Switch and asked "How about adopting Government policies to reduce the initial cost of power by producing it in the most cost effective manner?" I mentioned a few of the insane biases and I am shocked and stunned to have received a reply It reads Thank you David – You would probably be right if you took the view that burning carbon doesn’t matter at all but successive governments have (I believe rightly) taken a different view. The only trouble was the advance planning wasn’t great so a lot has to be done quite fast. ...and there begins a dialogue with Government ![]() ![]() |
