We wanted to let you know that World Community Grid is now on Twitter and sending out frequent tweets.

World Community Grid tweets are all about research updates, milestone notices, event notices, and helpful hints. In addition we spotlight teams and members. Another use for tweets will be for communicating status updates to members if the World Community Grid website is ever totally down.

Due to the Twitter imposed character limitations, World Community Grid is known as "WCGrid" on Twitter.

If you are a Twitter member, please find WCGrid and start following us.

If you are not a Twitter member and want to participate, do the following:
1. Go to http://twitter.com/ and register.
2. Once registered, click on the “Find on Twitter” tab.
3. Type “WCGrid” in the box under “Who are you looking for” and click on “search”.
4. The WCGrid Twitter icon will come up. Click the “follow” button.
5. A green check next to “Following” should appear.
6. You are now following World Community Grid's Twitter page and will see updates when they are sent out. We do at least one tweet each day, Monday through Friday.

As a bonus, many tweets also appear on the World Community Grid Facebook application. If you participate in Facebook, you might consider becoming a fan of the World Community Grid Facebook page: http://apps.facebook.com/worldcommunitygrid/ so that you can receive regular updates on Facebook.
