The 2010 Dell Social Innovation Competition launches October 5. Undergraduate and graduate level students from any university or college in the world are eligible to enter. Students who entered the competition last year, but did not make the final round, can re-enter this year with your improved project. If I remember correctly World Community Grid as a whole had a go at trying to get a program to ask people if they wanted World Community Grid installed on their new IBM computers, more information, or just say no and never hear of it again. We came close I think, but didn't quite make it into the later rounds. Is there going to be another attempt? |

My reading was when you first posted, that WCG is out and this being just the next selection step. Also think it was a member initiative, WCG low key promoting.

No no, WCG just was out last year. I believe this is an e-mail stating they're starting up again this year. Wouldn't a WCG official of some sort have to enter? |

Hmm. Is World Community Grid having another go?
I know you said it'd be a member thing but i'd think an actual representative would have to enter. And we get to vote! |
