Memorial Cup

The host London Knights, the Ontario Hockey League champions, and OHL runner-up Ottawa 67s meet Thursday in the last round-robin game of the Memorial Cup in London, Ontario, Canada. (TV, 7 p.m. EDT).

The Knights (2-0) can secure the bye to the Sunday final with a victory, but a loss to Ottawa (1-1) would leave London, Ottawa, and Rimouski Oceanic all at 2-1.

The playoff seedings would then be determined by a formula in which each team's goals for plus goals against are divided into each team's goals for in games involving those three teams. The second-and third-place teams meet in the Saturday semifinal. confused

Go London!

Tiebreaker - if necessary: Fri. May 27, 4:00 p.m. ET

Semi-Final: Sat. May 28 , 7:00 p.m. ET

Memorial Cup Final: Sun. May 29, 4:30 p.m. ET

London 5, Ottawa 2

The Knights beat Ottawa! Yahoo!

So London gets the bye to the final on Sunday while Ottawa plays Rimouski in the semi-final. The winner of that game will play London to decide the Memorial Cup Champion.

Go London!

Czech - Canada 3:0 ----Blame Canada, blame Canada!!!! tongue

I blame the NHL labour dispute. Canada did well considering...

They better fix the NHL before next season, I don't want to miss another season again. Watching the NBA playoffs put me to sleep. Nothing is better than NHL Playoffs.
