What's next?

Any one know what are the results of our works so far, how much progress have scientists made on solar cell research with everyone's help?
Are we gonna have another phase of the CEP, when?

Re: What's next?

Results need to be processed and published and they might not even process it till they get through phase 2.
And yes, there will be a phase 2, from what I heard before the end of the year maybe :O

Re: What's next?

Hi,

In a nutshell, the results of phase I is processed further with phase II that should start in the very near future. For the intermediate, please refer to the July update release:

Re: What's next?

I hope there's still a little work to go...I'm within a couple days from a Saphire on CEP, Which would mean a lot to me and my Power Hungry friends!

Well, there are still the 'retreads' (as I saw someone call them - the WU's that got timed out etc.), so hopefully, you can boost that Emerald badge up to Sapphire. Boy, if anyone deserves to get all Sapphire badges, it's your good self and the huge computing power you've brought with you biggrin

Hi MrKermit,
you joined WCG just three months ago, you earned not less than 8 Sapphires in that short period and you are close to the ninth one?
Chapeau!!! I am deeply impressed.

MrKermit,
With the tremendous power you have that could be worth sacrificing a few devices and linking them to a particular profile where you would select CEP only without checking the "if there is no work available..." box.

That way these devices would have a chance to catch more replacement CEP WUs when there are some.

Other late CEP badge hunters will hate me for this suggestion but, as gb009761 said, I think you deserve it. smile

Thanks again for your generous contribution. Jean.

Re: What's next?

I dont want to complain but that is a politician style answer with many words and no info at all confused

In my opinion CEP is very important and that is why I dedicated all the machines I could lay my hands on so its not a question of badges and it never were.

so in two(7) words - when are we going to crunch again?
and last but not least - where are the results from the work?

Re: What's next?

It was not the answer I gave... of a politician, but diplomatically, we have to work through phase II and probably a lot more study requiring before we can answer the question of 'where are the results?'... now they are half raw and completely out of everyone's depth but for the scientists who designed the project. Beta phase 2 maybe in a few weeks requiring everyone's patience.
