For several days have not been able to bring up BIONC on my computer. Did everything I could think of to fix. First restarted my computer, then had BIONC repair self but still no active window on my screen just the shell, Then I went to add and remove and removed BIONC 42 mg +/- and reinstalled only to recieve internal error 2753 BIONCmgr.exe. Please help! Did a lot more steps but do not want to spend all night detailing. Thanks in advance for your time.

have you throughly and truely deleted all things BPOINC before trying to re-install (including user accounts?) ... this is a repost of a suggestion on another board ...
just unistall everything boinc. then start run regedit, find "boinc" and start hitting the delete key and f3 to find next until it's all gone. delete your old boinc data AND program folders wherever you put that last time, and install it fresh and go through the setup again... create your new program and data locations, then run setup, click advanced to set all your new locations, install it and connect to world community grid.. |

Here's a prior thread on the error 2753 topic of which there are several that can be found using that very secret 'search' box, right top of all forum pages ;>)

I checked the sources and all I found was a match on the binary files win_build/installerv2/Progress.ism and WCG.ism. *WHATEVER* that is! :-) The nice thing about internal errors is that there are so many of them. I did when looking for Bionc files also searched for hidden files. Curiously it almost seems like it is running in the background though task manager shows no BIONC projects running. One option I thought of was checking other users to see if there but that does not make since as I am only one on cumputer and not even sure there others users. Not near that computer currently. Apreciate the links to other threads as sure it is not a unique problem but in my limited search did not find it. Steve WCG and Valla thanks and will let you know what happens.
By the way Steve did buy a new notebook computer and should be here in about 5 business days. It is a i7 3.33 mh with 6 gb ram. I am very excited and can not wait to see how it performs. It is a Sager. We will see. ![]() |

but that does not make since as I am only one on cumputer and not even sure there others users If you installed as a service it will automatically created acounts for you ... I think they are boinc_master and boinc_user but in any event will be quite obvious. Just to verify ... which version are you installing? |

A user will initially only see the processes in Task Manager run under the users name plus some general. In TM left bottom there's the button you found to push if you have admin rights. Then you can see all processes to include the ones that run under the BOINC accounts that Steve mentions. Should be the default case since BOINC v 5.10 at least.

Maybe try spelling BOINC instead of BIONC? Just a gentle reminder of the spelling :)

Thanks for the spelling leasson. As the only D I ever made was in spelling, I am lucky to spell my name correct. Curiously people say just try harder. Sure that will fix it. If it were that simple it would have been done long ago. At any rate please excuse my spelling. Great news I am whole again. Turns out I had to search under world community grid not BOINC (sp?) LOL. Found all the files , deleted them, redown load the software and off to the races. Thank all for their help. Computers are very frustrating at times.
