I agree 100%
When I do seti I always use the cmd line version because I personally don't care about fancy graphics, to me they are not really needed. |

A command-line version would not necessarily be too much faster than if you just leave the WCG Agent minimized to the tray, or if you just leave it on the main summary screen. The only major CPU waste occurs when the 3D graphics rendering is displayed. Really, it's not that much different!

A command-line version would not necessarily be too much faster than if you just leave the WCG Agent minimized to the tray, or if you just leave it on the main summary screen. The only major CPU waste occurs when the 3D graphics rendering is displayed. Really, it's not that much different! If you want to get the maximum performance out of the agent, don't leave the graphics screen displayed for long periods and select another screen saver. I would rather go ahead and like to have any command line client for different OSes like different Linuxes , HP UX, Solaris and so on..

i would say, if WCG can provide specific cmd binaries for different operating system/cpu type and provide detail performance on individual binaries, in this way, we guys will have more fun when crunching numbers
