After your agent is updated with the recent software update (Agent version 3.0 (2844) as shown on the agent Preferences window (checkmark icon)) when your agent returns its next result, a new CPU throttle feature is available to attempt to help in some extreme cases where a few members have machines which overheat. If heat is actually the problem, the best way to handle it is to solve the hardware cooling problem on the particular machine. The World Community Grid tech team implemented the CPU throttle feature as a somewhat experimental method to see if it can help the few users who have severe problems with overheating.
