Hello "Back Office" Folks,
I'm relatively new at WCG, and have developed a number of Excel sheets to keep track of results (InProg/Valid/etc). Since i've started, i've copied/pasted the results pages(s) into Xcel sheets, developed algorithms to help me assess computers (5,now) efficiencies and productivity. Have NO IDEA how many other (anal) members there are out there, but (selfishly) would like to click "Rice", and click "Copy Results" and be able to paste to a notepad (and then to Xcel as text). [This is similar to being able to copy some or all of the information available on the "message tab" of the BOINC manager. Ok, then.. if there EXISTS a method of results copy/paste, I'd appreciate the 'thread' that informs me of same, otherwise, thank you for your time to just read this. Respectfully, JR (ol43) |

I've done it with a query directly into Excel, by page. The link sorted by new to old for FLU as an example
----------------------------------------https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/view...eturnedTime&pageNum=1 https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/view...eturnedTime&pageNum=2 etc You'd have to be signed-in before running the query. A request to have a full list in one go presented in xml was made in past. No idea if it ever made it to a todo list.

Hi Sekerob,
----------------------------------------Since many years, I am expecting that the current data (list of WUs, project related info, etc.) would be available as xml. If xml would be available, members would have an efficient and powerful way to perform their own monitoring. It would be really valuable for members operating multiple hosts. I hoped that such features would be accessible after the move in the new computer center ! ... Now, 8 months after the big move, I am still (hopeless) waiting. Finally, because of "cut & paste" is terribly time consuming, I don't have enough time for controlling the done work as I would like to do. By the way, I try the solution you proposed using directly excel query ! ... I earn failure messages only. (I'm still running Office XP, is this a problem ?). Cheers, Yves |
