Badge hunters

To all badge hunter.
What are the goal now, after the new badge levels are introduced?
Is it "Gold" as it was before, or has this changed?

Re: Badge hunters

Currently the highest badge is sapphire for two years crunch time.

Badge hunting is up to the individual and depends on how many cores you have how long the projects run. I only run WCG so I don't have cores working on other projects that I could move when hunting a particular badge. The best I can do is fire up my wife's laptop at night and when she is not using on weekends. I leave my i7 up and running 24/7 so can only reasonably expect emerald (1 year) for all projects at this time. I do hope to be adding more i7 goodness by halloween but we will have to see how things go.

Re: Badge hunters

As I've only got the one laptop (albeit, a dual-core one), I'm aiming for Gold in all available projects (just got 3 more to go - IADS, HCC & HCMD2), after that, progressing FA@H to Sapphire (currently got another 262 days to go), and HPF2 to Ruby (got another 76 days to go). After that, who knows...

Obviously, if/when new projects come online, then my priorities could well change...

Re: Badge hunters

I don't call myself a badge hunter.. But when new projects arrive, I usually aim to get the bronze. New levels really stopped me for hunting for more.

Re: Badge hunters

My main goal is to be in the top 2k crunchers. I do try for Sapphire in each project. Sadly I started too late to get some (as they have already ended).

I'm not in the norm as I've got 6 systems here at home. I think it's up to each to set a goal and work towards it.

Well, you've got another bite at the cherry for upgrading your DDD-T(1) badge from Emerald to Sapphire - as there's some more WU's to be processed wink

Re: Badge hunters

Na I'm 362 days from Sapphire. Others are much closer to getting their badge upgrades. I'll stick w/Emerald on DDDT and work on Sapphire in Influenza instead.

Re: Badge hunters

I'm waiting for my new laptop before I'll proceed in getting any badges in a hurry as my system is now 7 years old, but it is still returning 1 WU/day.

Re: Badge hunters

every contribution helps ... and badges can't be "hurried" as they are based on time not points :-)
