It's not a server problem. Your client is confused.
We don't support alpha versions of BOINC. |

TrustedDragon,
----------------------------------------a project reset will do a part parm normalization. Exiting BOINC and deleting all client_state....xmls will create new ones with all parms set to default when BOINC is started up again. 6.10.2 or whatever... alpha and to be dealt with at long pole distance. Thought that this version would always keep the cores busy regardless i.e. fetch work, crunch, complete, report, fetch new work, but apparently not. We keep hoping.

Thanks,I will do that as soon as this WU is done so I won't lose it. BTW I been running this new BOINC as a test on this Laptop and not had a problem until I did this HD cleaning. The others are suing 6.6.28 because the 6.6.36 only sees my adim account. It won't let me run under a limited account.
----------------------------------------Once again Thanks! ![]() |

OR Do they have to worry about that? Thanks for letting me know! I only said the versions so that you knew in case there was a known issue with it. ![]() |

I only said the versions so that you knew in case there was a known issue with it. Thanks for the report, a fix will hopefully be included in v6.10.4. As a work-around in the mean-time, resetting the project will have no effect at all, so is a waste of time. Deleting client_state.xml will work, but isn't really neccessary. Instead, stop BOINC, edit client_state.xml, and just delete the whole <time_stats> </time_stats> block, and save client_state.xml afterwards, and start BOINC again. ![]() "I make so many mistakes. To footnote the Note there, one needs to enroll to the Alpha Mailing List and report issues there, not the Berkeley forums. It's NOT 'Support' in that sense.

This should be my last posting on this subject (I know I can hear it now "great!" "It's about time!") anyway I went back to BOINC 6.6.28 and as soon as I did I got 2 WU's with short deadlines (9/10) so they are running as "High Priority" so I know I won't get anymore until those are running normal.
