Thanks for the Attention however, The issue has not been resloved at my end. I assume pushing the update button is all I should have to do?

Since the problem seems to have been changing preference on web-page wasn't always correctly saved, it's possible it's still the "wrong" state in database, so hitting "update" will just continue using the "wrong" state.

You should try changing the preference to another venue, save, and immediately change to the venue you wants and save again. If it afterwards still doesn't work then hits "update" in BOINC-client, report back.

Ingleside - thanks for the comments. You are correct. Changes previously made that did not take effect were lost. Going forward, they should always take effect.

Hmm, to rule-out a possibility of a client-bug, can you do an "update", wait on the reply and suspend network, and check your sched_reply_www.wordcommunitygrid.org.xml (located in your BOINC data-directory) for the <host_venue>xxxx</host_venue>. Is the listed host_venue correct, according to your web-settings, or is it wrong?

If wrong, it's a server-bug, if the venue is correct but client still uses a different venue, it's a client-bug...

Re: Client will not change profiles

Could have been a silent fix or the message scheduler being slow as last night it would not do it, even less, not changing the modification time-stamp either, but 13 hours later they did show after doing a local prefs read to force the message up, changing again from work to school.
07/08/2009 10:14:21	General prefs: from World Community Grid (last modified 06-Aug-2009 23:15:42)

Re: Client will not change profiles

It does update properly this morning.
So was this another glitch or do I need to wait longer then a few minutes to expect a change to be in effect? In the past this seemed to have alwasy been near real time.
