devilish Re: Athlon 64 3200+ versus Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz

I know this isn't a 64 but it smokes them as an OC'd cruncher setup.
Learned from building 10 or so "Cheep Crunchers"
The box cools above average for the price.
I add a 60mm fan out the back and an 80mm in the front
The chip set to 200x12.5@1.9v works well from the get with
the Cheep Zalman cpu cooler.

I think this setup is faster OC'd to 2500MHz (Mine Crunch FAST!)

AND remember that you only need one CD Floppy set up
to do all the boxes!
Over all this is Cost WISE too.

Yeah, I'd say for the price that's excellent. I've considered getting one of those myself. I'm torn however, part of me wants to get a 90 nm 3500 and OC it. The 3000 and 3200 both reach 2.5ghz as well. Probably pretty smoking systems. :-)

Re: Athlon 64 3200+ versus Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz

well, after reading all the posts above, i think the only useful help for you is posting the cpu-score as this is the "benchmark result" of THIS application with one specific processor.

206 @ intel p4 3.06 ghz, 1024mb 1066er rimm. no oc.
