I decided to dedicate my main machine to Influenza Antiviral Drug Search and for a week or so received only Influenza Antiviral Drug Search work units. Today, I seem I get new work units from other projects. The profile is still dedicated to Influenza Antiviral Drug Search. I guess there is a lack in new work units?

That can happen with any project, so checking/ticking to accept work from other projects when yours runs out is always a good idea.
----------------------------------------It can either permanently run out of workunits because it is complete, or temporarily run out of workunits, typically over a weekend. Having a few days of work available in the queue usually solves the temporary problem. In the Advanced BOINC view, preferences, is a place to change the number of extra days. (I am out of town and not on a BOINC machine at the moment.)

Hello Americium
I don't think there is any official indication of shortage for Influenza antiviral drug search. I believe it's just the luck of the draw as to what is available when your system goes looking for new work. For example I did get two units today after your post time Result Name Device Name Status Sent Time Time Due / Return Time CPU Time (hours) Claimed/ Granted BOINC Credit flu10501o0803_ 100015_ 0-- David-PC In Progress 7/26/09 11:03:36 8/5/09 11:03:36 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 flu10501o0801_ 100163_ 0-- David-PC In Progress 7/26/09 09:53:03 8/5/09 09:53:03 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 You may want to shorten your connect to network time and try connecting more often |

Think there may have been a supply crunch today and or yesterday as this Sunday morning stats shows a drop and substantial shuffle of projects shares, to name big down on DDDT and NRW, all other slightly to major up, the HPF2 staple substantially up, even Flu up, so guess there the demand has been greater than the feeder on this below average share project had in stock.
----------------------------------------No doubt an amount of devices that have pref projects without fallback activated are possibly idling. The total drop for today looks like 7 CPU years, where recent normal for Sunday is 7-10-12 years over Saturday. Anyway, to test increased cache a bit and got a CEP job, switched pref to Flu and got one of that too (and maybe the smoke the server challenge participants are up to something and do a powerflush this afternoon ;>) Added: 2 flu in fact and further switching profile to RICE/CEP mix and a slight cache increase further added 1 of these each.

Well, seems there're IADS work units, though I had to abort some 50 work units of other projects to get some 10 IADS work units.
Until now, my queue was fully booked with IADS work units all day long. I hope you're rght and it'll be back as it was in a day or two. |

Aborting more than a few tasks will flag your computer as being unreliable, and lower your quota, perhaps not sending many per day of ANY project.

Oh?! I didn't know that.
I guess I'll have to stop doing that. I've only started doing two days ago, when I noticed I not longer get any new IADS WU. Does the system reset ocassionaly? Or from now on my computer willalways be defined as unreliable? |

Or from now on my computer willalways be defined as unreliable? Your computer will need to return a few work units first. I think you are limited to a 1 per day if your computer returns them in error or aborts, then increases from there. Allow it to behave properly for the next few days and let us know if things get better for you. -Uplinger |

Sekerob, off topic. Could I suggest you include this useful table to be show together with yours famous graphs link ? I think that could help much more people at that place once many regurlarly take a look at that graphics (include me). Thank you in advance.
