Terribly frustrating. With a lot of difficulties I am moving one rank at a time and after a long period at the 88th rank I went to 87. My satisfaction was short lived. Three days ago I was back at 88. But I was still crunching around 1 TFlop per day. What happened? After looking around I saw a meteor flashing by. RSIMMON is now emitting around 1.7 Million ppd that is more than double my score at around 700k ppd. After some research I saw it was registered as a company IBM System X Solutions Team with more that 127 active hosts. Unbeatable.  Excellent for WCG but difficult times for me.  Hypernova, you were the one that was rocketing past everyone not so long ago. Now someone new is rocketing past everyone, including you. Remember there will always be someone bigger, stronger, even a bigger cruncher. Wouldn't it be nice if we could all be MrKermits.  This is the interesting part of the game and competition, there is always someone that will best you. And if you are on top you can only stay for a limited time. There is always room for improvement. It is the fun part of this. MrKermit is in another category, so I do not compare. There is no competition here. I just finished adding two additional power lines in my small room. I have now a theoretical maximum power available of 11 kWatts (I use at most 5 with GPU crunching) split into three indipendent power lines (one per phase) that are separated from the ones that are in my home. These are protected lines against surge and defaults and have their own separate main fuses. They are dedicated to crunching. I can still improve a little  |

Such is the lot of a crunch addict.
