Colder weather should help. wink

Which part of your impressive "solar system" is dedicated to WCG at the moment? And in winter, will you be on "Full solar capacity" again?

Re: Members Current Ranking

Cometh the winter cometh the fuel and electric hikes. So I can't say I will be turning it up a notch this time. The 19% electric increase might well mean a reduction. I'm already on a plan, and systems crunch accordingly (off peak).

Anyway, still in the top 500:
Time 486, Points 473, Tasks 416...

Re: Members Current Ranking

skgiven, you must be burning much more cash with your GPU's crunching on GPU Grid. One way to reduce the cost is to quit GPU crunching, as the CPU has to run anyway.

I stopped on GPU Grid for the moment because the heat produced by the GPU boards where a real problem.

Re: Members Current Ranking

Sorry I don't have the link (I read a LOT of web pages at work)
Been reading about a new alloy which can easily convert heat to energy.
Instead of the current heat exchangers (not that I know how those work...)
Imagine having a nice cool basement (computer room) and recovering
1/3? 1/2? of your electricity back? Computer cases made of this alloy.
or line the ceilings with it? How hot does it have to be. I wonder if in the
desert will it convert heat to electricity? or does it have to have a
significant temperature difference....
The article was pretty vague. Cross ur fingers
