I am signed up for 3 different projects here at WCG and get mostly the other 2 not CEP units. How can I change this without stopping the other kind from coming thru too. I know about work/home/school settings but am looking to keep this really simple. Like get twice as many CEP units as Flu units for example.

Not possible unless you change the profile manually, alternating project choices.

WCG balance projects so that all the work that needs doing is done most efficiently, and sometimes this means slowing or speeding up a project, and sometimes a particular project has a limited supply of work, so the tasks go only to those who selected that project exclusively.
WCG perform this balancing act while respecting members' project options, but if they also guaranteed equal (or specified) amounts of work for each project to each member, then the system would be over-constrained. And that's why Sekerob's solution is the only solution. |

also remember cause of the new badge ranks alot of "badge hunters" may be swapping projects around to try to get there badges to higher ranks or such.. or to level out there badge colors... who knows...
----------------------------------------but the easyest way is to turn off your other projects set your work to 2 days backlog then open the other projects back up and set your extra work back down low again ![]() |

Lots of people get the flu, and die from it, but CEP is more of a long term problem, IMHO. Thanks to all who responded!!javascript:smilie(' ')![]() ![]() |

If you can dedicate two machines to WCG you can also set one for CEP and the other one for the two other projects of your choice, by using two different profiles.
----------------------------------------Less convenient is to set your profile to CEP only with the "Send other work etc.." box checked, but 1. if there are enough CEP WUs available you will only receive CEP 2. if there are not enough CEP you will also receive WUs for projects out of your initial choice. Cheers. Jean. |

Lots of people get the flu, and die from it, but CEP is more of a long term problem That is funny, If you die from the flu I guess it really is a short term problem -jasm I saw a thing the other day on the availability of the swine flu vaccine about how Countries that do not physically make it may not get it first, despite paying Companies to make it for them and in it it said 500 thousand people World wide die of the common flu every year! The CDC in the US says over 30,000 US citizens die from the common flu every year, yet still tons of people do not get their shots for it!!! I have been getting mine for years, I was a firefighter for over 20 years and they gave it at work and now that I am over 50 I get it because I am 'of the age'. So to respond to your comment....yes the flu is a short term problem, if you die from it, but it is a long term problem that the living must deal with to hopefully stop it altogether. But clean energy, imho, is a more immediate problem, before we start having gas price wars and the haves and have nots get into global wars over petroleum! Can you imagine some little rinky dink country threatening nuclear war over petroleum? I can and do not like the idea! ![]() ![]() |

Cheers. Jean. In the end this is what I did. I created a Home profile and did what you said above and currently have all machines in that profile. I still have the default profile for any new machines that may come on later. ![]() ![]() |
