Yes, YOU can't see it with 6, any 6? Just a black frame or frozen mouse or not able to get out of it when the screensaver kicks in? Uninstall BOINC 6.x. Reinstall and in the install screen tick

6.2 Untick the "install as a service" box
6.6 click the advanced button and untick the Protected Execution mode box.

In all versions, do tick the "Allow All Users..."

You'll loose running it as a service too so it wont load before signing in on Windows. But then, you'll have the graphics in full. Just tested this in the quick on 6.6. Exiting BOINC Manager the core client continues running, until you sign out.

But, to take Richard Pryor "I can't take it anymore" (or was it wont?). Still the second time I open the graphics for for instance CEP and I get nothing, not even a graphics frame opening.

Figure that.

PS: And I did look in the Service Control panel. Definitely no BOINC service entry... but it runs, with Graphics (for me ;-)

Edit: oops, no password protected BOINC screensaver is still an issue. Set any other SS if you need that security.
