Re: Tour de France - 2009

And Cavendish wins another stage and retains the green jersey.

Maybe it'll get more Brits interested in the race.

Re: Tour de France - 2009

As Cavendish only comes thirty miles from here I'm shouting for him
Today Perpignan is twinned with Lancaster so another interest

Re: Tour de France - 2009

Well he still has the Green jersey as points leader but Lance Armstrong is second in the yellow lead by such a small amount that he has he same time as the leader.
I wonder if he's quite as strong now when it gets to the mountains.

Re: Tour de France - 2009

The yellow changes hands
Cancellara punctured twice chased back to the pelaton
reached speeds of 90kph but finished well down
thats the longest stage of the tour some fit chaps
The crowds/fans are completely mental
closing down the road to a narrow passage waving flags and getting in the way deserve to be slapped ..
the finish is quite high we could see pockets of snow from the helicopter maybe leave them there to chill for a bit

Re: Tour de France - 2009

Yes, the first of the mountain stages always makes a few changes but I see Cavendish still has the green jersey.

Re: Tour de France - 2009

But Cavendish won another stage today and so is now only just behind the lead on points.

Re: Tour de France - 2009

keeping abreast of the le tour via wireless

Due to driving commitment on the road, not the same as being there or watching Euro sport
the scenery is so good as well as the frisson of the race
