Is there a version of WCG that can be bundled with an attractive or interesting screensaver? Is there a version that does not include all the community aspects, and instead just runs as a screensaver? Finally, does WCG have a Google AdWords Grant? If not, they should get one and advertise for the keyword "screensaver" in Google. It is ridiculously high trafficed and with a Google Grant, that traffic would be free.

World Community Grid is not eligible for a Google grant.
I'm not sure what you mean by "community aspects". |

I'm not sure what you mean by "community aspects". Having to interact with all of us...   I suppose that you could cycle your way through all of the various projects until you found a screensaver that you liked (although to be fair, at least for me, they all seem a bit dull - I just have WCG running in the background & have a different screensaver). Once you found that one screensaver you could then deselect all the other projects & just let that one run. |

community aspects: Powered by IBM, World Community Grid, Decrypthon, UPMC, UTMB, Scripps etc. Now what's the point of adding this info to the graphics ;?

Maybe someone with skill could capture the screensaver frames of all the projects, remove the progress bar and put it in a Screensaver slideshow?

(although to be fair, at least for me, they all seem a bit dull - I just have WCG running in the background & have a different screensaver). Greg, Here's the screen saver I use on all my systems. BSOD People wander by my systems and think they are really ill and tend to not touch them with this running. I get a lot of comments, but still noone dares touch a system behaving like this! |
