My Grid update idea

I searched the forums but didn't find anything about this so I apologize if it has been suggested before.

As WCG brings on more and more projects, the "Statistics By Project" section in "My Grid" just gets longer and longer. Has there been any thought to separate the completed projects and current projects into 2 different lists? This way it would be easier to distinguish which projects you are currently working on and what their status is as far as time and badge ranks. Yes...I'm a badge hunter...but I that's what keeps it fun. I find myself all the time looking at a bronze badge on my list and thinking I need to work on it...but then remembering that project is closed.

Just a thought.

I did suggest this idea way back in January of this year (see Statistics By Projects ), although nothing progressed with it.

I hope something does happen, as I'm in total agreement with you.

Perhaps, when we get another 3+ projects (i.e., CEP2, DDDT2 & AC@H2) up and running, as well as a few more projects completed, then more and more people will come to realise that this is actually a good suggestion...

Thing is, how high would it get on the infamous priority list...

By (coincidence), have done a repeat a few days ago, a slightly different proposal ... colour coding, tick mark, sorting. It's with thought to keep it compact. Also, projects that have been selected in one or the other device profile with an identifier so you'll one-overview know which projects you're actively working on.

And, it's all about time and how often something is requested and the effort it takes to implement and the load it puts / would put on the overall system. Can't have this cause for the feeders to queue because updating My Grid is taking forever [if you get my drift ;>]

We're working on having them sorted in the same order as the Stats by Project page. As for the other stuff, we'll see...

Kevin has previously tried to sort the project lists by launch date, rather than alphabetically. This convention means new projects go at the end (easy to maintain).

I hope you can communicate with each other and achieve consistency.

edit: you can order by launch date and still split active/completed. In fact, this is exactly what the Research page does.

Good point. We actually talked about it just after I made my post and we are going to work on having all the projects sorted first by active/complete and then by launch date.
