Note that I've only now observed that:
----------------------------------------1. Original Parent Tasks have 14 day deadline 2. Child Tasks, those with a nnnnn_nnnnn numerical appendix such as 31416-32457_0 have a 10 day deadline. 3. Repair/No Reply jobs run at 40% of original deadline (not new)! I've had a trickle mix on my main cruncher this morning of deadlines with July 2 and June 28. Maybe knreed or uplinger can confirm the exact rules. cheers PS: Now getting new tasks that start with CMD2_0010

Sekerob,
those values sound right. I thought kevin was going to set the original parent to 10 days as well, but he may have decided with 8 hour max a 14 day deadline for the first pass was warranted. The child tasks are based off of the runtimes for the original parent. So these should run a lot closer to 4 hours or less. 40% of the original deadline is for work units being sent to reliable hosts. to make up for canceled, errored, or missing results. -Uplinger |
