Since installing a wireless router I get error messages "unable to do internet communication and no default connection is selected. Please connect to the Internet or select a default connection using Advanced/options/connections".
There is no default connection shown and it will not allow me to type any thing in the box. |

When you installed the wireless, did you disable the regular Network card?
----------------------------------------I have a few listed in the options > connections, but hitting clear default may remove the obstacle. Are you running DHCP or fixed IP address on your network? What I did was set DHCP up, but pre-assigned particular IP addresses to specific MAC addresses in the Wifi router config. That allowed on the machine side to set the DNS up with DHCP, yet get the same IP assigned when connecting which allowed to manage other BOINC devices on the network.

Many thanks; I believe I was trying to return work to a completed project. Once I suspended it all appearedOK.
