920 i7 with Hyper Enabled can't get 8 cores running WCG [RESOLVED]

HI Just kicked in my new tires on a 920 i7..
WCG Bionc Manager says i have 4 cores. Task Manager says 8.
I select 100% of cpus and 100% time... as on all.
I've heard people getting BIONC to indentify and run all 8 cores. What should I try next?

Have you enabled hyperthreading ? Check your BIOS.

Cheers

Yes Hyperthreading enabled.
also tried changing max number of cpu's to 3 in bios from enabled to disabled.
my task manager graph shows 8 cpus...

i'm running of VISTA 64 ultimate and bionc 6.2.28 so it has the
use at most x% percent of cpus and
use at most x% of CPU time. I've got both at 100%

Re: 920 i7 with Hyper Enabled can't get 8 cores running WCG

Your task manager is correct.
BOINC defaults to 4 cores, which will also work for four or less.

In the BOINC advanced view, advanced tab, preferences, processor usage,

near the bottom change it to

On multiprocessor systems, use at most [8] processors.

Others here with i7's are getting use out of all 8.

Excellant ... Thanks that was it. :D
I had to do it from BIONC my profiles web page. I could see 4 processors there and changed it to 8
