Enough of the talk. Like that Nike slogan, "Just Do It". The great news is that the WCG has a record number of new Teams.
----------------------------------------As for the "UD Conversion points to Boinc "points", it's high time for this to happen. Can you believe that some of the older Teams here still use "UD Points" in their posts? As an IT Recruiter (of little consequence maybe, LOL!), I find this totally unacceptable. Surely, there are software developers who can do this with no problems. I mean, that is what they do. Enough of the talk. C'mon, let's get this done. Please! And for those of you who agree with me, don't feel intimidated. Please post here. Viva La revolution! We have had enough of cake. Just my two centavos. And yes, let's all keep crunching. ![]() Cheers, everyone! |

Like the carrot of the upgrade of this lamer forum software. Hey, two carrots ... maybe we will crunch twice as hard. ![]() ![]() |

Just my two centavos. And yes, let's all keep crunching. ![]() Cheers, everyone! I think it's already been done. Well, points earned with UD here on WCG, anyway... maybe not any carryover from running UD on grid.org. 5 months ago, I had 0 points. Now I can look back at my stats pages, and I see 15,000 points or so stretching back to november of 2007 when I joined (shortly after easynews advised us they were going to switch the team to WCG), that were not showing up when I first installed BOINC in late-February of 2009. I'm not sure when they did it, but it was sometime after 22 March when I took this screen grab... ![]() |

Wonder which carrot is first caught:
----------------------------------------1. The Forum software upgrade 2. Projects 10 and 11 3. The UD points (only those earned at WCG) converted to BOINC crediti. I'm in dubio on 1/2 and 3 wont walk away, but, low and behold a team mate actually just coverts all back and does a what-if projection to see how much would be gained in the DC-Vault. We have 9,995 out of the maximum 10,000 already for it's position that's measured, not arbitrary points/crediti. PS: Think it's a 2-1-2-3 order unless project 12 comes along :D (yes, sorry, that's the song and dance I can give and there was something about UD points configured as integers that makes the issue apparently problematic).

some of the older Teams here still use "UD Points" in their posts? I know my team works on BOINC credits at the moment, but while I have over 2 million unconverted UD points, I'm keeping that info in my sig along with my WCG-BOINC credits. I would like to see the old points moved over soon, but I'm aware of the techs having other pressing issues. |

Any news concerning this important topic? Well, for those who have many old UD points just wating to be converted, it is a big deal. And you know it. I saw another thread where this issue was brought up and I saw the usual "dancing comments".
----------------------------------------I would like to really know if the WCG will promise to make this conversion sometime. Dataman says it's just a carrot and it will not ever happen). Dataman, my aologies if that statement was incorrect. Have a great weekend all! And let us all crunch like it's 1999. 'lil joke there as there as Prince song named "So tonight we gonna, we gonna (Tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1999). LOL! ![]() |
