The wu jumped with a factor of 11.111.... to 22.2222, 33.33333 and so on and are now ready to report.
I will wait untill I have finnished all my wu's and then I will instal the newest version of BOINC to se if that make any change. At least it will be easyer to monitor the progres. |

As mentioned earlier installing the latest BOINC client is not advised.
The latest WCG recommended BOINC version is 6.2.28 The 6.6 branch might work with WCG but so far has not been found stable/bug free enough to become the recommended version... |

It appares that it sometimes runs just fine but sometimes malfunktion and I have no intention to baby-sit BOINC so I have stop running this
project from now on. I hope that the next BOINC manager will work, I'l give it a try then. |

Thank you Lawrence! But in that case BOINC display wrong runtime. The runtime should not jump back, just the estimater time left. Is it posible that a wu can jump forth and back like this for days, weeks or even months and still display a runtime of 11 minutes? I will run 1 wu and se what happens. Is a wu at 285% and counting also supposed to be normal whit this project? Sorry to see you go. On the timekeeping, well, when you look in the client you look at wallclock time (elapsed as it's printed in the column header) and not CPU time and it's unfortunately so that this 6.6 forgets the wallclock number at times. I've had jobs run for hours, reaching good progress percent and on restart it's back to zero, the wallclock time that is. The % staying close, but that's normal since there is always some progress loss on restart.. But, if you select the task and hit the properties button you get the information of meaning. Someone specially compiled a client that shows both elapsed and cpu time and am still using it. Version 6.6.26 private. Anyway, it's for others to know this, not of relevance to you any longer. 6.2.28 does not need babysitting most of the time. Doing it is someone's choosing.

It appear that it also had and other side effect, my GPU apps running the Milkyway@home was halted completely.
As that do not occure anymore it might have ben related to the wu's we are running here. |

Anyway, it's for others to know this, not of relevance to you any longer. 6.2.28 does not need babysitting most of the time. Doing it is someone's choosing. That would be true if I only run the application here but I do also run all other application in worldcommunitygrid + 8 other BOINC prodject & Folding@home so any malfunktion or wasted computertime will also affect them and I do not think that shoul need to try several different BOINC versions just to make sure that the apps. here work as all the other are working just fine and if I change there always a risk that one of the others start to malfunktion instead. |
