Hi.
I've become a grid user since a month. I get many different projects, like fight aids, cure child cancer, and a huge project which I don't even know what is for it's called UK Met Office HADAM3P ! ( if someone would be as kind to explain me what's the idea behind this project I'd appreciate) Anyways I ran the clean energy project only once, and i'd like to do it more. Not that I want to stop contributing to fight childhood cancer but i'd like to choose to get a clean energy data pack for my pc to handle. How do I choose to get more clean energy projects ? |

honestly how the program is set up you have few options
----------------------------------------if you want CEP the easyest way is to go to my projects and deselect every other project but be sure to check If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project. if you want to kinda manage it yourself you can select to CEP only raise your cache of work units manualy have your computer connect and get work then go back in and select all projects you want to run again (also recomend turning your cache of work units to small after doing this) personaly i tinker so much i normaly only have 1 or 2 projects selectd but have the no work button checked ![]() |

eric489,
----------------------------------------the HADAM3P belongs to the Climate Prediction project [CPDN] which you must have attached directly to your client. Yes those jobs can take many hundreds if not thousands of hours. You can suspend that project or detach from it, if you feel it takes too long. Do that in the client advanced view Project tab, select the project and on the Tools menu detach from project. There currently is no regular CEP work. See http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=25670. The Type C version was just put through a first Beta test. They seem to have run well, at least had 8 here and all validated immediately. If you want to do CEP jobs specifically, choose that in the My Grid > My Projects screen. Select the "if there is no work..." option to get anything else from WCG until CEP resumes, as of which point you'd only get CEP, till it runs low again. If you dont want to do specific projects it''s better to select for instance HFCC and CEP and deselect HFCC again when CEP comes back on line. ttyl.

A HADAM3P-wu is the shortest CPDN-model, and should take 4 days on a low-end 2 GHz Intel C2D... ![]() "I make so many mistakes.
