I have a combination of 6.2.28, 6.4.5 and 6.6.28 spread among my crunchers (some of them are running other projects) and so far everything is OK. If it's only crunching WCG I try to go with the recommended version, otherwise I use the newer versions.

Just for information.
----------------------------------------One of my hosts (kermc01) crashed yesterday because of the mentioned failure (wu: flu10301c0125_100339). It is a P4M laptop running reliably since two years. The working boinc version is 5.10.45 on Win2K. Boinc crashed and froze the system. The network connection was lost. Windows was not usable anymore. After a cold start, boinc sent results back to WCG and I discovered the failure message in the WCG results page. It is the first issue with this system since many months (years?). Maybe there is a real problem with some WUs ? This particular message itself is benign. All the results so far with that validated from my clients (seen, when looking for them, about 5 till now), so suspect other unknown cause... and even the best horses eventually stumble ;>)
