I'll be forced to uninstall the BOINC agent, as it freezes my system after a while.
I run a Windows XP pro service pack 3 Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GHZ 1.00 GB RAM Dlls provoke exceptions. wbc_faah_autoclock_graphics is one of them. Do you have any hints? |

Hi jfilardo Does this coincide with your screen saving cutting in ? Try changing the screen saver graphic to a different one such as the standard XP one and see if that resolves the problem. I have experienced this on certain PCs when the screensaver cuts in. Regards Lufty |

Do you view boinc in simple or advanced mode? Could try switching to advanced view as that will stop the graphics from being loaded.
----------------------------------------Wouldn't have thought that its because your machine is incapable of running the faah project as I have a pentium 4 2.66Ghz with 1GB of RAM that crunches the odd faah wu occasionally without problems. If disabling the screensaver and switiching to advanced view doesn't work I'm sure the CA's will get back to you with a solution. jfilardo, this is frequently caused by an underlying problem with your computer.
World Community Grid gives computers a working-out that they don't usually get, and it highlights existing problems you may not normally notice. Often, people blame BOINC because they see the problem when BOINC is running and don't see it when it isn't running. Try LUFTY's advice. If the underlying problem is with your graphics or drivers, then this may solve it. Select the "Blank screen" screensaver. Do not select any of the "3D" screensavers. If this fails, we will need further information. |
