Hello
----------------------------------------I did some hcmd2-units on my Linux x86_64 box (Core 2 Duo T8300) that went on fine and in parallel as well as on my Windows x86 box (Core Duo T2600) yesterday. I switched my Linux-box back to primegrid but gave the Windows-box another try today, but what is that? I have two wcg_hcmd2-processes each with 4 threads running concurrent on the two core2. One task almost always has to wait. Third column is CPU-load, should be 50% for each wcg_hcmd2-process, fourth column is CPU-time - note that both processes were started at the same moment. Last column is the thread count per process. The kernel-time of both WUs is also cumulating to ~80% load on one CPU as seen in the second screenshot. Anyone any ideas? Hello roadrunner_gs,
Something went wrong. If properly installed, BOINC should only be running 4 threads. Have you tried rebooting? Lawrence |

I see a very large kernel time component, there (just on one core).

I rebooted now and now everything is fairly scheduled between both hcmd2-processes - the 4 threads per process and the kernel-time remained though.
But nothing odd anymore now... ...strange... |
