This Tuesday morning did 149 CPU years... yes I asked about that cheekily.
----------------------------------------Anyway 0.193 Seconds the returned results are spaced if this rate holds.

The WCG flying Machine, 300.28 CPU years yesterday, 0.191 seconds spacing between returned tasks, and was I talking about 300 TFL... yesterday 351.57 Teraflops it adds up to.
----------------------------------------Don't ask questions how, lets crunch :D (but my PV jail did a little downsizing) edit: updated chart link

Are these numbers straight production? Not a clearing of work which may have been stuck in the server for a day or two? If so, that's outstanding! Cheers to all the crunchers, and a special tip of the cap to Decrypthon for their extra bit of recruiting! of course completely off the record, a reliable informant source: "Nope - no help from me. Pure member crunching "Running 21 day TFL mean up now to 310 TFL and 340 TFL for the day.

This is fun to watch. I love it!
Also very nice to see that WCG has a far higher member retention than most other BOINC projects. 42% of those ever joining with this agent, and it's been available at WCG since mid-2005, where BOINC overall has 17.7%. Something is done better here at this none standard grid... it's more than a hobby :D That is an interesting statistic. In my short time here, I've noticed a few things I really enjoy. For one, there's a variety of work to be done. If a person tires of running one project, they have plenty more to choose from. Also, people seem to have an interest in the science. Whether it's a single processor crunching part time, a small lab, or large office of computers, many people crunch for a humanitarian cause. Thirdly, points are relatively even between subprojects. Certain setups may score better than others, but it's not like everybody tries to crunch Rice because it scores 3 times the points of any other project. In addition, I have not heard of any "optimized" clients floating around which certain people or teams use as an advantage. Sure, a majority of people may not even visit the forums, but it's great to visit a place where there is not much bickering about points, who is using what app, and everyone seems to have the same goal no matter what team. We chase points and badges, but that adds to the fun instead of causing bad feelings between people or teams. Enough typing now, so those few extra cycles can get back to crunching! |

We always get a little boost after sending out a newsletter. With a little luck we can break through a few of these milestones before the summer slow down. I'm personally hoping that we break through 2000 years in one week and 300 years in a day. We can always build a little plot to make the wish more touchable. 7 day rolling was yesterday 1,925 CPU years, and today 1,946 edit: updated running 7 day mean and added record info to chart legend. edit: updated chart link

(My first post) - It's great to be a part of this community! I've only been a member for a couple of months - but I just might have to put a few more processors on this task - now that I see the dedication and involvement of so many!

staticphantom,
----------------------------------------I'd like to congratulate you, yourself - as, although you have only been here such a short time, you've already achieved 9 Gold badges and a bronze Beta badge. That certainly shows that you've got the CPU power and commitment which helps this incredible machine to reach onwards and upwards ![]() ![]() |

And another one went to the WCG book of records: 300 Teraflops average for the past 60 days, 301.47 TFL as of yesterday. The 21 days sliding average is now at 316.41
