Morning Team

News Justin

joshuabayer has made it to 6 digit land (we've just pulled him onto that first ledge so he can have a breather) and John Parker (The highest placed known about Brit) has just posted more than a quarter of a million points for our little BIG team.

Cheers Chaps. applause

-----

Crew I hope you don't mind if I point out that we are still only 169 strong and seemingly permanently placed at No22 for team membership.

We have always punched well above our weight. But we could really use some extra dedicated crunching Team Mates to keep TW and /. on their toes - the end result of this is that more of those proteins get folded if we do (as they can't resist a challenge) and the closer we will all be to finding those cures and treatments. We make everyone welcome big or small or anywhere in between, as you can see. Good to see those first points from DAJ our newest member.

So wherever you are on this tiny blue planet.
Happy Crunching and Best Regards
Dave nerd

Re: wilsondr 10 days to break through 100K (You nearly did it in 9! applause )

Sorry this post is so late in recognition of this achievement wilsondr but you have moved so fast through the rankings I didn't see you up there leaping 5 tall places in a single bound straight into 6 figure land with a cool 109,834 points.

(Us mere mortals usually just scrape our way into 6 digit territory completely out of breath after a seriously steep climb. tired)

CompuDude it looks like you have another challenger to your throne wink

Congratulations wilsondr

All the best
Dave

Thanks, Dave. biggrin

I've a few powerful machines, thus the high points output, but my mere 28 workstations is no match for the true sluggers (CompuDude - 62 devices, nl59056 - 207 devices, jasnyder - 54 devices, Ploetner - 47 devices).

I wish I had more workstations to bring to bear, but alas, my company isn't too big. wink

At any rate, I don't think CompuDude's place at the top is in any kind of jeopardy, LOL. biggrin

Thanks again,

Dan

No Problem Dan,

I just wish I could get the company I work for to donate just 10% of their spare processing power to this good cause. They are one of the UK's largest clothes retailers who in a recent survey scored highly with Women aged between 35-55
(No giggling at the back wink)

Just my test bed set up has 10 2.8Ghz Xeon Servers and 4 PC's that are mostly twiddling their thumbs 24/7 - a very frustrating IT security policy.

Hey there's nothing mere about 28 Machines committed to this project.

I think I'll start a new thread when we are 100 years old (In the UK you get a letter from the Queen on reaching this personal milestone)
It shouldn't be too long now

Night
Dave

David --

A while back I remember you saying we would wait until we hit the big NUMBER FOUR to start a new thread. I was just skyping with Graham and mentioned how it is getting difficult to navigate through the thread and that it was time for a new start and asked if he had a new banner for the start of the thread. He built it with all of our flags (at least that we know of) and said he would send it to you by e-mail. Here it is from his website:

PS -- THANKS for making the offer of e-mailed Christmas Cards early last December. Who knew then we would be going into Chapter Four (or is it Chapter Five now?) of our team thread as NUMBER FOUR!!!!!

Your friend and team mate,

Hi Dave

I got Graham's email earlier today (Thanks Graham)

I'm going to start the new thread once we make that century

I think I'll start a new thread when we are 100 years old (In the UK you get a letter from the Queen on reaching this personal milestone)

It's a Bank Holiday over here in the UK so it will tie in nicely with the return to work and those PC's get turned back on and Team Mates start posting again

It's posible we might make it tomorrow night or at the very latest Tuesday.

It will make for a good launch pad.

Hope this is OK?

night
Dave
