Charlie99 and Wunderwuzzi make the big 100K applause applause applause

Congratulations on making the 6 digit club, it's turning into a stampede biggrin

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but with 262,145 points 1 year and almost 65 days of crunching yesterday, producing 1370 results for the ISB, I think for the first time we have genuinely created more than a Million Points in just 4 days with 1,006,949 points from 14/5 -17/5 (that's 5/14 and 5/17 in American Money wink ).

Take care

Dave

Re: Team Certificates & Recognition

Hey guys,

I thought julied's idea of 3 levels and 3 colours was good. Couple of other points if I may ..

The display of the country flags is great. Is it possible to give prominence to the country flag of the person getting the certificate?

There seems to be very little acknowledgement or recognition for the smaller members of the team sad . For example a small thing I seem to recall was Dave acknowledging the first posting of points for MOT from a new member .. which has faded away. At present there really isn't anything to encourage the small cruncher .. either to try harder or stay with MOT. Any chance of coming up with something to correct this smile

(I know we are larger in number than before and it's hard to track the points for everyone .. especially with our 'big guns' zooming through different milestones at breakneck speed .. so I hope the above isn't taken as criticism, by ANYONE peace I'm sure you'd agree though that it only takes a Billy Bob or MLCBA to leave and all of a sudden 5 or 6 smaller crunchers contributing 400 or 500 points each suddenly becomes a godsend thinking )

I'm sure a few posts of encouragement and some small recognition, at say 25K, 50K & 75K, would go a long way to retain the smaller guys and who knows even to attract a few more hugs

1 Million in 4 days

To put in perspective this achievement it would take my PC (You know what it's powered by by now wink ) 3 years and 333 days to match the output of the team over the last 4 days.

A stunning amount of number crunching by the MOT Crew

Thank you

dave

Re: Team Certificates & Recognition

Hi Sanj

After writing that last note you've just beaten me to it I was going to add the old Tesco slogan again of "Every little helps" which could not be more true with the team. We wouldn't be getting 260,000+ points without everyones contribution to the effort.

Personally I'm hoping to make it today into the top 2000 crunchers on the Grid. It currently says I'm 2003rd So I know how difficult it is to make 100K.

You are right I was able at the beginning to acknowledge every movement up and down the table but as the team has grown this personal touch has had to wane with the necessary automation of the team ranking table and just tracking who has done what is very difficult today. To get to 100K requires some serious dedication and I think it's a good 1st milestone and a real achievement to get there for the team. At the moment there is an avalanche of team mates who have made or are about to make the 100K. So I think it's a measured response and one that I am guaranteed not to miss (Except for Mr Wight blushing ) so that nobody's nose gets put out of joint. I'm sorry that the Autumns service level has gone down but that's as a consequence of us being so successful. If you are sitting there with 2.5K on your total please do not think I care any less of you than any of the big guns. I'm not that kind of chap.

As a team I think we do the best job on the WCG of acknowledging people contribution to this project. If anyone else would like to keep a close eye on any part of the table and report back here on anyones successes please don't think that I will take offense.

Its a team effort. Hopefully this "problem" will get more difficult.

I'm giving it my best shot.

Thanks for sticking with the MOT Crew through thick and thin.

Cheers

Dave
