Greetings problem solvers,
I just reinstalled Ubuntu (1), Kubuntu (1), and Xubuntu (2) 9.04 on 4 computers. When I installed BOINC, the startup menu has a selection window with scroll up/down arrows. One of the selections is World Community Grid. The problem is that the names in the window don't show up right. They are high or low such that only the top of the characters or only the bottom of the characters or sometimes nothing is visable. I was only able to select WCG by repeatedly clicking on the hidden verbage until by chance I selected WCG. If memory serves, this problem has been around for about a year. The BOINC sw was installed using Synaptic package manager. The BOINC version is 6.2.18. Thanks for your attention to this. Best wishes, JB |

Hi,
----------------------------------------I think to know what you see... first time I saw this is in present 6.6.24 alpha client... a narrow slit so you only see 1 project at the time with part of top or bottom of characters not visible. The list should actually be about 10-12 projects showing with scroll bar. Principally just type the url http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ Best place to report (I'm lying thru my teeth) is the Berkeley forum. There are people there that will pass the issue, if it can be replicated to the so called Trac system and or Alpha mailing list.
