Re: HCMD2 Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver & Gold?

Hello Marc

Man...20 years is awesome, and I enthusiastically applaud your commitment to this project since June 4, 2009.

How many computers have you got working on HCMD2? I have 2 machines working on this virtually full time and have (almost) 2.5 years so far.

It would be nice if there were additional badges beyond 2 years, so we can recognize and honour those who have really put in a long computational effort. I guess however we will have to be happy knowing that all these efforts are about to come to a conclusion soon.

Hello AMR - Congratulations on your bronze badges for both HCMD2 and HFCC!!! Well done!

I'm not sure about HFCC, but keep crunching as there are only a couple of weeks left in HCMD2, and it would be great if you could make a silver badge happen!

Hello Alged

Good going on your ruby badge, your efforts are greatly appreciated and applauded!!! Keep going to the end and get that emerald badge if possible! And it's good to hear from you, I had wondered where you went since it seems you have not posted in a while...

Regards
Kismetix

Re: HCMD2 Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver & Gold?

@kismetix: At the moment there are just two computers crunching. My noiseless, fanless, waterless, passive cooled desktop with 6 cores / 12 threads (always on) and the Atom PC of my parents. But the Atom PC doesn't crunch much. :-) In the past there were other PC's. They come and they leave, but most of the time there are just two.

I have a personal interest in computing for HCMD2 as I am leading camps for children with a muscular disease. Here is the group photo of this summer. Question: Where is Marc? ;-) This year was really cool. We managed to meet Hugh Laurie (alias Dr. House) in Zurich before his concert. :-)

@alged: I really mean 20 years. When HCMD2 was down for some time I started with DSFL. Over all I'm reaching 25 years for WCG today. See here.

Hope this answers some questions. And if someone wants to visit a camp, just contact me. :-)

smile Re: HCMD2 Badge: Who will be first in Bronze, Silver & Gold?

@Marc André: thks or the infos and the photo
i see yu are really a veteran but also "on the ground" in direct help towards
these children .Congratulations for yr badge on HCMD2 ane the time yu grant to WCG
As a jazz amateur i do prefer Hugh Laurie as musician than with the Dr House role and certainly it was cool for yu all to enjoy his concert ! smile

May be one day in Zurich..... i have some family there at Witikon and i long to visit them again ,also the town i like very much !
