I joined WCG only about a week ago. I wish I had much earlier!
I created an account here using the same username I use for all the projects which I attach. I was perplexed as to why my WCG credits were not displaying on my allprojectstats page. Only today I figured out why. If you do a search on allprojectstats for "neerav" you will find two users. One user is running three projects, and the other user of the same name is only running WCG. How do I merge the two? I think it may have to do with my boinc cross project id. There are 3 -- the two users on allprojectstats and my WCG account are all different. Can a WCG admin change my cross project user id in my WCG account while preserving the credits I have already received? Or is there another process for merging the two usernames? |

The cross project ID doesn't care about your username. It is based on your email address.
Change your email address to match your other BOINC project, and the CPID should sync up in a day or two. |

Thank you. I didn't realize that I used different email address for WCG. I have changed the address to match. The new CPID on the WCG site still doesn't match my other boinc projects' CPID. Anything else I might need to change? Will give it a few days anyway.

Hello neerav,
As long as you are crunching projects using both IDs, they will synch up in a few days now that you have identical email URLs. Lawrence |
