 Today I made it to my Emerald badge!  Some of my devices generated lots of errors on flu tasks, but still I had had enough cache to make my badge green Sapphire is far out of range for me, this project ran too short for a small/medium cruncher like me. Congratulations to all other members who made it to their next badge level for IADS! This was quite a stress in the last months, new badge levels and DDDT, CEP and IADS ended close to each other. And what will happen next? Maybe some new projects starting close to each other? We'll see.

---------------------------------------- Still have a cople of WUs in the queue. Reading about people happily cancelling those "insurance" WUs, I wonder what the "appropriate" action is in such a case: keep them, cruncing until they are done within 3-4 days, or return them to the "pool"? Does it make any diference from the project point of view? Regards, Martin  |

If too many do the 'canceling due excess', it puts some strain on the 'quick returners' queue, but figure in normal project wind down circumstances, the servers have no trouble dealing with these.Those doing the canceling happy for the good deed done and those getting a go at them happy to be allowed closer to their badge target. What more does one want :D

As long as this projects end is dragging on I should have gone for Saphire but so difficult to calculate when the last WU's will be done!

Thanks so much, not sure my machines picked up any...I'm currrently on track to do 361 days of the FLU.... Argh My laptop gave out just as the project was sending out final... Shoulda gone and bought a cheap old dual core or something to make up the dif...but thta's insane. I'll wait til next year. The I9 sounds like a good upgrade for my Q6600   |
