Gerard (coingames),

what type of I7 processor machine do you have?

Dr. Mike..

Hi Dr. Mike,

I have the I7 965. Still hesitating to do some OC, since i have no experience with it and don't want to blow it...

Cheers,

Gerard

Gerard -- is it a Dell or other brand name, or did you build it?

Hi Dave, it is not a common brand name but an ultimate pc from a small dutch manufacturer (maxpc).

Specs are:
Specificaties:
Antec 900 Behuizing Zwart
700 Watt 140MM Fan voeding
Intel X58 gebaseerd Moederbord met ICH10R
Intel i7 965 Processor
MaxPC Boxed CPU Cooler
6 GB DDR3 1333Mhz Intern geheugen in Triplechannel
2 x 640GB 16MB 7200RPM Harddisks
ATI Radeon 4870 met 1024MB met DVI en HDMI
2 x DVD-Rewriter 22x Speed Dual Layer
7.1 Channel HD Sound on-board
6 x SATA connectors
2 x Lan 10/100/1000Mbit
8 x USB 2.0 (2 x Front USB)
1 x ESATA
3 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (ATI CrossFireX™ of SLI)
2 x PCI slots
2 x PCI Express x1 slots
2 x IEEE1394 (Firewirepoorten)
1 x S/PDIF Out Optical

Maybe a bit overdone for a fulltime cruncher, but well blushing

Cheers,

Gerard

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 35 smilesmile

Wow -- an i7 965! About all I see at my usual haunts are i7 920's and i7 940's. About the only way I found to come up with something similar was to go direct to IBuyPower's own website. There, I found this. It has some similar specs including the i7 965, but they are not easily lifted out for printing as they are listed in a menu fashion to allow you to build up their basic offering. It does look like a neat buy at $2319.
