Ultra small Beta WU

Just received the following work units all with an estimated run time of 6h 53m:

Beta 6.10 CMD2_0001-2R15_B.clustersOccur-2R15_B.clustersOccur_24_3
Beta 6.10 CMD2_0001-2R15_B.clustersOccur-3BAS_A.clustersOccur_11_1
Beta 6.10 CMD2_0001-GPDAA.clustersOccur-PCCBA.clustersOccur_30_1
Beta 6.10 CMD2_0001-GPDAA.clustersOccur-RFA3A.clustersOccur_7_0

However at 75% complete they have only run for 16m 01s. Is this a problem with my machine or the wu's?

If its of any use here's my machine spec:

Re: Ultra small Beta WU

I have just posted the following in the thread dedicated to "ultra long" beta WUs:
The techs and the project scientists need these beta WUs, the extremely long ones as well as the extremely short ones, because they seem to have some difficulty for chopping the production ones at the size they want.
If we want to have future production WUs as consistent as possible regarding their size I think we must provide these people with as much beta results as we can.

The bottom line is: Don't worry. smile

Cheers. Jean.

Re: Ultra small Beta WU

My apologies - I should have posted in the beta announcement.

We are working the long workunit issue in two issues:

A tactical solution which simply divides the size of the workunits to be 1/10th of their original size. This create many short workunits but also cut down on the length of the monsters.

A strategic solution which we are still working on. There are two good options here and we are working with the researchers to finalize our approach. Once we know how we are going to do it we will post more information.
