Hi there. Last I checked, I had one WU completed and waiting to report, 2 WUs around 85% completed, and probably 6 more in the queue.
I checked again twenty minutes later and all of that was gone. In its place was a list of WUs, which i think were different from the ones I originally had, all listed as 100% completed, with a status of "computation error." I check the Messages tab and oddly all the messages from before 5 minutes prior were gone! It is as if the program reset itself. I went to the Project tab and tried to Update the project, which only succeeded in clearing out all the fake "completed" WUs. I then closed and reopened the BOINC Manager. Now I have re-downloaded a queue of WUs and have started to process them. Does anyone know what caused the problem?? I know I lost all the CPU time that I put into those two almost-completed WUs--did I also lose the WU that was completed but waiting to report?? Thanks for any help! |

looking in Results Status, I find 14 WUs with a status of "error," including 2 with creidt already "claimed" but not yet "granted."
the error messages in the WUs look like this: [ERROR] Failed to open wcg_checkpoint_06.ckp = wcg_checkpoint_06.ckp mode = wb [ERROR] Failed to open either source or destination files while copying receptor.OA.map to wcg_checkpoint_06.ckp. Error: 12 [ERROR] Failed to copy workfile 'receptor.OA.map' to checkpoint file 'wcg_checkpoint_06.ckp'. [16:50:16] [ERROR] Checkpoint failed. Exiting. |

Hello sevenveils,
The messages in your Messages tab are also stored in a disk file named 'stdoutdae.txt'. If you open that file in Wordpad or in a similar file reading program, you might find some more relevant information. Lawrence |

Thanks for the info! Here's what is listed in the stdoutdae file. The part in bold is at the very instant that it reset. Note that I did NOT actually request any logoff or exit.

Please supply the entire log, not just perfectly normal snippets.
Thank you. |

Please supply the entire log, not just perfectly normal snippets. Thank you. On the contrary, the part of the message log (stdoutdae.txt) that I included in bold was the only part that was out of the ordinary, which was at the moment that the Manager seems to have cut out. The last thing that had happened was DLing a WU about 17 minutes prior. In addition to the error log I already posted (which was from 1 of the WUs that was in processing at the time), there are error logs like the below for the WUs that were untouched in the queue at the time of the meltdown: <core_client_version>6.2.28</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> CreateProcess() failed - Not enough quota is available to process this command. (0x718) </message> ]]> |

Haha, my apologies. I felt sure that was the noteworthy segment.
OK, I tried to append below the whole message log, as you requested. But I keep receiving the following error when I submit the post: Error executing SQL in PostDAOImplJDBC.create. |

Hello sevenveils,
Does this happen when you Select and Paste into Wordpad? Lawrence |
