SSL encryption error while downloading.
BOINC has been unable to download new work from WCG for the last few days. I get the following messages on the Messages tab :

2009-04-24 18:29:38|World Community Grid|Temporarily failed download of faah6442_ZINC06445068_xmdEq_1HHP_02_base1.00038.pdbqt.gzb: HTTP error
2009-04-24 18:29:38|World Community Grid|Backing off 22 min 1 sec on download of faah6442_ZINC06445068_xmdEq_1HHP_02_base1.00038.pdbqt.gzb
2009-04-24 18:29:39||Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

I have traced the communication with Wireshark and I get an SSL Encrypted Alert #21 which according to rfc-4346 means decryption_failed. BOINC is version 6.4.2 running on Windows 7 Beta Build 7048 on an Intel i7 system (ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 board).

Is this related to the SSL load balancer problem or am I the only one having this problem ?

Sorry. BOINC is 6.4.7 and the application is FightAIDS@Home 6.07. Same software setup on a Windows XP on the same home net that works.

Is this related to the SSL load balancer problem or am I the only one having this problem ?

I have neither heard of nor seen those problems for many days. I am afraid the problem is probably on your side.

If you need more help from us please include the message log from the beginning of your session down to the failing downloads. Maybe we'll see something that has escaped your attention.

And I assume you have already tried the traditional magic which works often for connection problems (but not always, unfortunately), i.e. a complete reboot of your computer and of your network equipment.

I did a "reset project" and it works now.
