I signed up for the CEP months ago, and I have yet to get my first WU. Has anybody else had this problem? How can I fix it?

It's not a problem, tasks for this project are just in short supply at the moment.

Great, thanks. I hope I can work on this one soon, I'm really into renewable energy...

OzymandiasII,
----------------------------------------A large part also depends on what projects you've got selected. If you've got 'all projects' selected, then the actual chances of getting any CEP WU's are severely narrowed - as there are many who have CEP only selected, and they'll get 'first bite' at any WU's that appear. What I'd suggest (if you don't have it selected already), is to only have CEP selected as a project, plus the 'send other work if no work exists for the selected project(s)' option ticked. That way, you'll get a far greater chance of grabbing some CEP WU's when they're available, whilst picking up other work to crunch when they're not... |

Yup i have HFCC and CEP as my only two selected with send additional work. works out pretty well, i'll only select CEP when i hit the gold for HFCC. I have less than a week to go i believe.

I'm sure there will be some other badge for you to collect whilst CEP is in short supply.

I'm sure there will be some other badge for you to collect whilst CEP is in short supply. Yes, that is true, the real question is: will everyone who do not have the luxury of having more than one or two computer ever going to get the gold CEP badge? |

Don't see why not. I'm crunching on only one PC and I have a bronze and am making slow progress towards silver. I had the added disadvantage of using Linux and CEP wasn't available for Linux machines for quite a while after the windows ones got started.
AFAIR the project is scheduled to last until late 2010, but with the hiccups at the start it may take a little longer, so there is every chance of getting gold if you select CEP as primary and tick the other projects if no work is available box. |
