Just curious if the project is down or having issues as I don't seem to be able to land a WU? Thanks.

If you have all projects included in your profile you will likely get other WUs. For a while now I believe the Rice workunits have been set to a lower priority in the queue.
I have two of my slower machines dedicated to Rice since the run times for these are a constant 6 (or 7) hours compared to sometimes three times that for the other projects and they seem to keep their .5 day queue filled at all times. |

and they seem to keep their .5 day queue filled at all times. I am currently in "waiting for betas" configuration on my devices since Monday, and my P4 HT dedicated to Rice has its 0.01-day queue instantly filled in when getting close to tthe end of a WU, without any interruption so far. Cheers. Jean. |

I also run climateprediction.net This will cause you lots of work fetch issues. |

I have all the projects checked for WCG... I haven't received any messages for NRW. Thanks. Its because you have everything checked. NRW is set to a very low throttle, to allow the researchers to find the several terabytes of storage space they need. If you want to crunch NRW, uncheck everything else. When I ran nothing but NRW, I had no trouble getting work for my duo core |

Thanks everyone. As I understand it, you need to ONLY run NRW to get those WU's because the project doesn't have enough storage? It seems like that's a shame because I enjoy crunching for all the projects.
I also run climateprediction.net This will cause you lots of work fetch issues. Actually, I haven't had any issues with this. I was wondering about the WU's for NRW because I haven't had any prob's with WCG, and all the other projects have run fine. Thanks. |

the project doesn't have enough storage? To give a more general answer, currently the project scientists would not be able to handle all the results we would be able to return if it were distributed full speed. Therefore WCG distributes less WUs than normally possible. Cheers. Jean. |
