We wrote a bad query and that caused a series of deadlocks on the website and forum databases. This was combined with not having some settings for automatically rolling back transactions that were waiting for locks not set. This caused the website and forums to become unavailable while we tracked down the issue.

The good news is that it is resolved and the configurations should be set properly now to avoid this in the future (and we will write more efficient queries in the future as well).
