That's the one I'd go for, but the crunch addicts need to weigh in if they don't want that challenge dialed in.

Small Team race sounds good to me. 1 question.....How small is small? The Challenge is open to all teams! courine's "in2my.net" team (with 31 all time members) is registered, that's the only team I recognized...we definitely qualify |

OOPS!!!!
----------------------------------------to compete in the small teams challenge we would need the fastest machines possible and find the shortest WU's as it's a results challenge! I can probably do 100 Results/day personally....if I dump Clean Water and stick to Cure Cancer....hhhhmmmm...maybe 120>150/day EDIT: Run Time Challenge; I can do almost 2 million Seconds/Day 60sec/minute X 60minutes/hour X 24hours/day X 24 Cores=2073600sec/day X 28 days=58,060,800 seconds Run Time/28 days I could possibly do personally (in a perfect world)... realistically, 45>48 million seconds would be doable ![]() ![]() [Edit 4 times, last edit by Sport at Jan 22, 2011 5:43:04 PM] |

GP...just a thought but a deadline for discussion may be in order. Giving you time to investigate, register, prepare and promote as well as possible for the upcoming events!
----------------------------------------EDIT:GP <<<This Guide>>> is a great tutorial on Challenges. Well worth reading Team registration has definite deadlines for Registration , team members can come and go as they please without affecting the teams eligibility...only production ![]() ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Sport at Jan 23, 2011 3:56:14 AM] |

All I know is...fast and MY machines don't belong in the same sentence! Still haven't managed to get the primordial slime to report. <sob> GP have you tried going into device manager and uninstalling the Wifi Ethernet adapter and then reinstalling it??? Sometimes it works ...sometimes it doesn't {{Remember'Windows' key+'Pause' key???"WinPause" short cut to System Props then "Hardware" Tab then device manager}} also see my EDIT above ![]() ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Sport at Jan 23, 2011 3:55:29 AM] |

Will read the "destructions" when I've had coffee and wake up.
Hmm. It's a 10 year old external Dell dongle that came with their first wireless router, now no longer produced and was running on Win 95. Worried if I uninstall, there may be no remaining version of it TO install? Amazed it interfaced with the current AT&T system at all. Got to clear some bits off the desk, then see if I can left the old darling out and have a look-see at the back. Already have Persian1 hardwired to the router since its wireless is dead at the hardware level [tried uninstalling and reinstalling since its Vista and available]. No room or capacity on the electrics in this place to have 3 machines in here, plus I still need to be able to shut the cupboard and pretend to be normal when I have company over! Today's main project is pulling out the dead HP All In One and replacing with wireless that came in last year but stopped working with the AT&T equipment change. As soon as I have a pot or 2 of coffee on board, I'll trying crawling under things... |
