Well, As my electric bill has shot through the roof and is heading for the moon. I've decided that the 2 desk top crunchers will have to be shut down for the foreseeable future. My house was not built for cold weather. This is not a normal winter for the area. ![]() ![]() |

For about $250 investment in a "used" Intel hex core server you can get 6K+[boinc] production at a minimal electric cost.

Thanx for the info but, As of right now I have 4 other mouthes to feed and heat the half of the house that normally would not be heated. My bill went from $6/ 6.5 a day (including all crunchers) to $11 a day plus the feeding of said hoard, 20 somethings eat a lot (especially when they are not paying for it.) Hopefully the weather will break and my over the top heating bill will come down. Next feb. will be better and maybe will be able to upgrade these old amd desk tops for some real crunchers. ![]() ![]() |
