we may be a small team...but when we are called upon; we each and every one; give all we can! We have what is known as "Heart"...if we can do it ...we will!!!

I've been asking myself lately..."what am I going to do with all these machines when DC; no more exist as a incentive"?

I Have a Quad that has been down with a DOA PSU since Sept. last year...I just don't have the initiative to rebuild it

are we getting to the point where we just don't care anymore ...or it's more work than it's worth ...or...the equipment cost and overhead is more than we care to burden ourselves with to stay competitive??

There will come a time when I no longer feel the Want to continue crunching. At last check I have Used Approx $7000.00 in electricity,Have gone thru 10 computers.(As self built comps)Another Approx $ 5000.00 (along with repairs) in the last 11 years. Now with the coming of gpu crunching the price is becoming even more of a chore than a pleasure. In the next year or so my time,money and willingness to continue may drop to 0. The expense of gpus will be the deciding factor in continuing the fight. So far the gpus that can do the work are of the more expensive and energy hogs;thus returning to the orginal point.cost of continuing. The race is becoming a strain in the wallet.

....Hopefully I've done my part ; and spent A LOT of $$$$$...I've tried to spark an adrenaline rush with the members, several times; but I can understand their resistance ....perhaps a new generation of dedicated users can take the flag and carry it upward... personally I'm at my utmost potential and could dwindle because of circumstances...I've already taken machines offline
