In an effort to get the word out... what type of "marketing" is being done to help spread the word? I found out about this on CNN.com and have since become quite interested in this as I have several researchers in my family tree. I've emailed the information to my family and several "techie" friends but would love to know if there is more that I could do to help build the numbers! Alex

social networks are small-world or scale-free networks so word of mouth is very powerful with this sort of project (assuming the project is compelling).
so thanks... in any case... We've (ISB, UD and IBM) done a lot of PR. |

Yes, MSNBC also had a big article on this:
"IBM Backs Public Research Grid" http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6502699/ |

Reuters too had a great article on this effort. However, I agree word of mouth works best. Tell your friends and associates!
